first round of 's OC-vs-OC contest: Mango vs. 's characted Orko: [link]As you can see, Orko only exists in 2 tones according to his reference sheet so he stays in black and white. *snigger*
Um... yeah, Microphone kirby! I might post a bigger-sized pic of the part were she's just turned Mike-mango later. The rest of the panels were speed-inked with a felt tip pen and are generally pretty crappy, though I like the ones where she's eating the squidxophone. (mmm ebi sushi... now I'm hungry)

EDIT: argh, it turns out Orko is from heman. I KNEW I'd seen that guy somewhere besides his cousins in FF. =_= Apparently the OC was just the squidaphone. So now this pic doesnt count D:
EDIT EDIT: So the judges decided to count it anyway to avoid a delay so they're judging it as if orko was his OC.
Meanwhile angue is winning with his squixophone, who has the ability to create time paradoxes to escape Mango's belly. T_T Apparently. You should check it out, though losing before I get to Endling is gonna cause some major melon angst D:

Wow ... I am stumped at how any judge ever would have picked that other guy's doodle over this. When I saw Endling's forfeit where it said you lost I assumed it was because this wasn't violent enough or something, but Davy jone .. wtf. I'm way late on this but I just now looked into the contest guy's journals to find out what happened.

You should've won. I mean, his comic had plot holes, technically only beat Mango because of Davy Jones, and generally made little sense. Not to mention if Orko isn't his character, he did little to make that clear since he only drew a character sheet of the squidxaphone being played by Orko.
Anyway, /end rant. It's a marvelously cute entry.

And I'm not the only one furious about this. Endling's disappointed in the judge's ...um...judgment as well. Very much so.
Well anyway, you're a really good artist. And I'm sure that next time you enter a competition like this, you'll go far, as long as the judges actually know how to...you know...judge. So, I hope you cheer up soon, cause it really was a good entry that totally should have won.

you should totally just add a few panels to the middle of the comic. after you consume you should just make like three panels of gross detail. like you chewing through bones and organs of squidxophone, hahaha!
