Paper Mario: The Paradoxal Darkness. Chapter 7: Shadow spell makes people suffer.
Not English, so please don't judge my mistakes hard.
The drawing is made of already existing sprites from TTYD and Sticker Star because I am not good at drawing

"Actually, I've been hiding from the world for around 3000 years... I wish I would have died..."
Mario Shakes his head.
"No, I really think this is because of me."
Mario shakes his head again.
Maggark sighs.
"I built up a strong barrier to separate Bitsville from the rest of the world. So that no one else can be hurt by the darkness. That's why you've never heard of it."
"I was thinking of a way to save this land, but nothing seemed to work... And, not too long ago, I heard of the four heroes, that prevented the destruction of all worlds."
Mario looks very surprised.
"Yes, you understand, what I mean. That's why I let the Shy Guys out, of course not without the risk of releasing the darkness."
"I ordered them to find the heroes and bring them here. You are here along with Peach, and we've seen Bowser a while ago. So three are here. I believe the fourth one will be here soon."
Mario looks even more surprised... and a little angry.
"I'm very sorry for dragging you and your brother into this, but there's no turning back."
"We almost collected the Light crystals, so this might end soon, right? Think positively."
Mario calms down.
"But there's still one thing that bothers me..."
"WHY ARE WE, INSTEAD OF SAVING THE WORLD FROM THAT FREAK, ARE SITTING IN JAIL RIGHT NOW???"

"Hey, that was a misunderstanding!"
"They were possessed by darkness!"
"Darkness, that, somehow, came here from Bitsville!"
"Just let us out! Espectro will easily claim the crystal for himself, if it continues like this!"

"That won't work. Those cosmic things won't believe us."

"Espectro? Don't tell me you already took over the world."
"Not really. We found it."
"The crystal?"
"No, a cookie shop."
"[What a sarcastic response!] And what's up with you losing your cheerfulness?"
"Everything becomes less and less fun..."
"Then why won't you just give up on it?"
"I won't. I already did too much for these 3000 years."
"But you can always turn back and help us, I'll forgive you."
"No... The darkness will take everything."
"But you don't want that to happen, right?"
"Yeah, I don't, but that doesn't matter anymore..."
"What do you mean?"
Espectro threw a money bag on the police officer's table
"Release them."

"Whoa, Ninny, Stall! Where are the others?"
"We worried about you so much! Everyone's ready for the battle."
"Battle?"
"Don't you remember? We promised, that we would fight over the crystal."
"Yes, I completely forgot. Oh, and about Espectro... Did something happen to him?"
"Is it that noticeable?"
"So something DID happen, right?"
"Well, yeah... When Ruts found the crystal, Espectro rushed to it and quickly started creating the dark copy of it... It's something that I wish I wouldn't have seen."
"What did he do?"
"I believe that he used fragments of his power to create them. And I think that's why he took that much darkness into himself. But..."
"But?"
"He looked like he drained his life force to create this last one."
"You mean, that's why he lost interest in everything?"
"Pretty Much... Well, let's go to the stadium already, the others are waiting."

"Hey, everyone."
"Hi, feeling better?"
"Hello, did your good mood return?"
"You'd better thank me for finding the crystal."
"Hey, hey, how ya doing? Ay feel great."
"You look good, black ball."
"Thanks, guys, I feel good."
"Then... Shall we start?"
"Wait, Espectro."
"What is it?"
"What did you do to make that last crystal?"
"Oh, yeah... You can use the Celestobar stone during the fight, to make it fair..."
"Then be careful... We'll come full force on you!!!"
"No... I(!) won't be fighting now..."
"Who will it be, if not you?"
"The legendary hero in green... This guy's brother... Will be fighting instead."
(!)
"Wait, what"
"Using the Dark crystals I had, I took control of him..."
"You're messing with fire!!!"
"I will also have your most hated enemies as partners... This Shy Guy's Brother, The Creep that controlled the Boo's friends, Spike's failed creation, girl's dark part of herself and the plant's brother that betrayed him."
"That's it! You want a fight? We'll give you a fight!"

Boss fight: Possessed italian.
Tattle: He's really done something,
that he better shouldn't. I know it's
hard to hurt your brother, but you
just need to make him come to
his senses.
HP: 40 Atk:4 Def:1
All others have these stats:
HP: 10 Atk:1 Def:0
And appear in this order:
Creep, Glassier, Ninny, Putridie,
Bal's bro.

After the fight Luigi comes to his senses, all the enemy partners, except Bal's bro, disappear. the dark crystal plate breaks, along with 6 crystals, leaving only the last one, which Espectro is holding tightly with his hand.
"Finally, it all comes to an end..."
"Yeah, we'll get rid of darkness now."
"Like i'd let you!"
Bal's bro turns into his (The Dark) form and takes the real crystal plate.
"Stop it. Let this end already..."
"You're such a nuisance. Get lost!"
He attacks Espectro with a powerful blow.
"Stop it!! Leave him alone!!!"
And then flees back to Bitsville.
Espectro is lying on the ground.
"At least I'm happy that I didn't destroy this world again... I'm sorry Maggark. I understand how important those people were to you..."
"You didn't need to use your life force for such a thing. You already became lifeless back then. I liked you more, when you were a cheerful jerk. And even after you destroyed our village, I thought of you as my best friend!"
"That's good to hear... Make sure to... stop that guy..."
Espectro's body fades out in darkness.
"Goodbye my friend..."

"I simply don't understand why he's doing this. That makes me wanna cry. Is it darkness, or was he really that rotten?"
"Hold on, Bal. Everything will be fine."
"Now, let's head straight to the finish of our adventure!"

Mario learned a new Star power:
Light Blast (6SP)
Press B with correct timing to deal high damege to enemies
