Description
Ironhide has such a harsh mouth. His crest is very Spartan - or Roman gladiator, more like. I wonder if it was deliberate design; I wonder if the fact that Soundwave's head just about matches the Decepticon insignia exactly was also deliberate design.Related content

Maybe the designers did it on purpose, or perhaps its our interpretations. Ironhide would have a hard mouth after so much time fighting, given his age. Hot Rod would be as Ladena draws him;soft and optimistic for his youth. But this is just wonderful. Ironhide may have a hard mouth, but I can well imagine it softening for Ratchet from this pic. If I could have drawn a picture for my 'Last Ride' story, this would have been it.

Knowing me, I rather lean to the latter explanation - I've been told I can and do make odd connections.
*nods* That's true. He doesn't relent - though in some of his actions in the IDW comics he was rather soft on Ratchet, but still showing that ferocious scowl. The contrast made me smile.
I enjoyed 'Last Ride'. The movie breaks my heart with the convenient deaths of some central characters; my issue mostly is the way it was handled even if I understand part of the motives and reasoning behind that decision. I don't mind if characters have to die and then there is plot and/or character development, I do mind if it was handled in such a crap manner x.x

Oh, I agree. During the series, these chars took shot after shot and could be put back together. And c'mon--even my 10 year old nephew knew to be looking for Lazerbeak spying--it just didn't makes sense. Particularly for the reason they did it; to introduce new toys. Newer and younger (forgive me those under 35) isn't always better when that's all you leave--which is why the series tanked. And why these chars live on in fan fiction--they weren't ready to die--certainly not Ironhide (who will no leave me alone), Ratchet and Prowl.

That move was almost a deus ex machina, giving the 'Cons such a huge break like that - and they took out a good chunk of backbone and structure from the 'Bots.

But it didn't work. Had it not been for Unicron, Megatron would have perished in space, the 'Cons lead by Starscream, and I'm not sure they would have survived the infighting. Shockwave didn't strike me as a leader, any more than Soundwave. Although, Ultra Magnus wasn't much of one either. They would have been easy pickings for the Quintessons. All of them.
