Description
I hope you all see this.
You might be wondering, whats the connection between Megatron and The flammable Peterbilt Semi truck, I'll explain to you more about them.
Between the 1984 Transformers series and the 1986 animated film, Megatron was a feared, ruthless and tyrannical decepticon leader who lead his army of Decepticon troops from the planet cybertron, who steal energy from earth's resources, they don't care about the destruction they cause when stealing energy with deadly force, they've been known to have natural enemies, not just humans who lived on earth, but also a heroic team of autobots lead by Optimus Prime.
Optimus was Megatron's sworn enemy, they would often have battles to the death with one another, until the battle of autobot city on earth in 2005, Megatron had successfully defeated Optimus by shooting him in the wound killng him, Megatron was badly damaged to the point that Starsream was able to throw him into deep space along with some of his injured Decepticon troops, He was later discovered by Unicron and obtain a new body, along with a new name, Galvatron.
Megatron's original voice actor was Frank Welker, who provided voice over work for cartoon characters such as Fred from Scooby doo where are you, Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget, Shag and Muzzle from Road Rovers, along with many others.
In the made for tv movie Duel (1971), an unknown truck driver used a brown 1955 Peterbilt 281 semi truck with tanker trailer, as a murder weapon to hunt down his victims, to claim license plates from his victims vehicles as his hunting trophies and place some infront of his semi truck.
While The truck driver was on the California desert highway, he came across a business man by name of David Mann (played by Dennis Weaver), who had a wife and two sons driving a red 1971 Plymouth Valiant, David soon realized that he was a target for the deranged psychopath in his rig, he spend his spend figuring out a way to escape trucker's clutches to no avail, finally when David got near the edge of cliff, he decided to sacrifice his Plymouth car to the monstrous truck, he jumped out of the car and it collided with the semi, causing it lose control, the driver inside the truck's cab blast it's horn before the truck and car fell down the bottom canyon crushing the driver to his death.
The film Duel was directed by Steven Spielberg, who would go on to direct movies such as Jaws (1975), Close Encounters of the third kind (1977) and E.T. the extra terrestrial, he became an executive producer for the 1993 animated seres Animaniacs, Steven did appeared in the show albeit being a cartoon character, he does not voice himself in the show but rather they cast Frank Welker to do the role for him.
Frank previously voiced Megatron from both the 1984 Transformers series and the 1986 animated film, perhaps the biggest coincidence between Frank Welker and Steven Spielberg, is that both the
voice actor and the director/executive producer, were born in the same year, 1946!
How amazing is that.
Update 5/28/2019: I fixed Megatron's name in the comparison chart.

Hmm makes a lot of sense. Funny in the bayverse version of Megatron in DOTM. He gets his own truck mode that looks kinda the same as the Flammable Peterbuilt but different shapes from the front, and some rust and spikes to make it well edgy.

I see what you mean, however, Megatron's truck mode from Dark of the moon, is a Mack Granite,
while the truck from Duel (1971), is a 1955 Peterbilt 281.

Yeah, but maybe it's a homage to that Peterbilt 281 that Speilberg was the producer for the Bayformers films.
