I hope you all see this.
Here's a chart of Thomas as a Transformer, featuring his two primary alt modes, right, robot mode, left, tank engine mode (Faceless), top left, tank engine mode (Non faceless).
You may have notice that Thomas has a Faceless mode for his tank engine mode, the reason why I gave Thomas that mode, is because I felt like this would help make Thomas look more realistic as a transforming robot, disguising himself as a non sentient steam locomotive, creating stealth while fighting off Decepticons when ever he's outside of Sodor.

This deviant of Thomas may make him appear as a triple changer, like Springer and Astrotrain, but it's actually a special tool for Thomas to disguise himself as a normal engine, known as a faceless engine, as Thomas is a non faceless engine, Thomas does become a triple changer, but that's a discussion, for another deviant.
