Myself as Miwako from Paradise Kiss. Photo taken by Ollie [Orobouros.net] at Anime Expo 2006. I look at this photoshoot and can hardly believe that two years has elapsed since I was last out in California! My Miwako is based off of one of the manga chapter covers [the one where she's sitting on a bike], though I did make a few alterations to the design simply to make it a bit more flattering on me. It's funny: Since the original image is in b&w, I did design this colour scheme; however, I've recently noticed a few cosplayers mimicking it, right down to the alterations I made to the original design. It's a little bizarre to find people replicating my costume, but I do believe that imitation is quite a lovely form of flattery! <33 Everything here is constructed by myself, though I did purchase the wig pre-styled. I did also have some Happy Berry accessories [namely a purse], but they weren't included in this shot.Please no criticism/critiques. I'd like to keep this gallery happy! :3

If you ever do decide to use my variation on the design, I'd appreciate it if you credited me. ^__^ Last year I ran into a girl who basically replicated my entire costume [handbag, wig, colour scheme, black sweater, and all] and tried to take the credit for it. It was a little upsetting.

now I'm doing the dress with little balls that miwako uses in parakiss volume 1! probably I will do the lolita outfit in october... then I'll show you some pictures(credited! XD)

Thank you! Yes, it's a nice median between an entirely original design and a design that's already been fully documented and only needs replicated. Just enough room for creativity!
