There's nothing more to be said of this very old costume, aside from the fact that I dearly miss being that skinny and I wish I'd had a better selection of wigs to choose from five years ago! (Seriously, it's amazing how far cosplay wigs have come in such a small span of time.) At any rate, I've been sorting through my hard drive lately and came upon this shot that my friend Kate had taken for a photography project back in April 2007. I don't think showing the edge of the backdrop was her intention, but in retrospect it makes for a cute "slice of life" shot. I can totally imagine Miwako working hard at a fashion shoot, plopping down on her breaks to text her beloved Arashi. <3

Thanks! :3 If you ever have a chance, I definitely recommend the ParaKiss manga. I don't normally go for that sort of story/art, but the whole thing is really beautifully done and totally sucked me in. Ai Yazawa is a master of her genre.

Wig options really have come a LONG way, it's kind of amazing! Even in light of what you had to work with at the time though, it's still delightful. <3
