Construction Notes:
Confession time, I've wanted to cosplay Usagi (not Moon, not Serenity, just plain old Usagi) since I was a wee babbu in high school. It's taken me 16 years, but I did it. And look at all these beautiful, talented friends who agreed to cosplay with me. That look of GENUINE HAPPINESS on my face is accurate. This was a dream come true! (What WASN'T a dream come true was the hotel fire alarm going off while we were heading to our shoot, thus forcing us to stand out in the frigid, windy weather for an hour. I'm amazed we got these pictures at all!)

Construction-wise, this was a simple costume. The skirt and shirt were self-patterned and the sailor collar and bows were all taken from Kathrine Zan's fuku pattern. (One note: I based my costume off of Naoko's artbook designs, so I intentionally made the shirt a bit short and tummy-baring. I think it gives the outfit a fun 90s vibe!) The wig was styled from an Arda Chibi and Long Clip in Dark Ash Blonde. I love this beautiful natural blonde colour! The socks, shoes, and satchel were all bought, and the GORGEOUS brooch was purchased from darkcertia on eBay. (I could have made my own, but hers are SO PRETTY AND SHINY. Worth every penny!)

All in all, I am ecstatic that I finally got to live my dream of cosplaying Usagi, and I can't wait to wear her again! <3
