I like it home and it feels good to be back to my hometown
and I've also been working most of the time after summer too - I got a part time job in a cafe
and I've also worked as a substitute teacher

I work with all ages - from 1st graders (7) to High School and adult schooling
... it's mainly been 6-8 graders this far though

In Finland we have primary school (ala-aster) grades 1-6 (ages 7-12)

So in France, we usually start with Maternelle (which is set before primary school), from three to six years old. But these three years aren't an obligation. You have to put your child in school starting from six, which leads us toΒ
L'Γ©cole primaire (litteraly, Primary school) from six to eleven years old.Β
Next, we have le CollΓ¨ge (Junior High School), from eleven to fifteen. Le CollΓ¨ge is usually the phase in a teenager's life... When the worse memories are made xD but it gets better when you go toΒ
Le lycΓ©e (High School), from fifteen to eighteen years old.Β
According to France's law, you can stop school and work starting from sixteen. But a very few people do that.
I am now in my last year of lycΓ©e, which is called Terminale (yeash, we give names to each of our school years, from Maternelle to LycΓ©e).
After High Scool starts "La FacultΓ©", or "Les Grandes Γcoles", or "L'universitΓ©" according to your choices.Β

We have the kindergarten too - but it's all optional
pre-school is kinda primary and most of the kids go there at the age 6
and it's often combined with kindergarten so it's simple...
In Finland you can basically stop studying after primary school at the age of
15 but pretty much everyone goes to high-school or vocational school (to study a profession)
After high-school people often head to universities or universities of applied sciences
and people from vocational school often just star to work.
Your systems seems a bit like ours, but perhaps you just start a year earlier
