I needed to doodle something *u*And when I doodle - Rody is my victim nro. 1
The fantasy AU has been coming back to me lately and gee I had so much fun with this!
Rody's outfit needed a little update and I wanted to practice with some light.
You've no idea how happy this drawing made me!

I loved the color palette of this work of yours, that's why I ran to comment here, because I can say enough to be the necessary amount x3
I can see that you have experience working with the colors, the details are beautiful, and it has a good proportion, the pose is also good, the character is well developed to be attractive.
Actually, the small details in the clothes fill the drawing with life and the folds are excellently placed
in the case of the shadows, I personally would have liked you to deepen more, the effects of light are good, but the shadows maybe a little more intense would give more depth, to areas such as the face, since it may look a bit flat, but maybe it's the effect that you want something "cartoon"
the arm of the bottom that holds the lamp looks a little more flexible than it should, to be in that position, I would have placed a little firmer his arm, more straight, would be my only critic

Also thank you for the suggestion - deepening the shadows is a good idea since I do love contrast in my art! However with this one I wanted to focus on the details and the outfit.
The face in this one is the only part I too have some issues with, I just gotta familiarize with facial shading better to give it nicer shape.
And don't worry your English is just fine XD it's not my first language either

This is very good. The colors themselves have a very warm and vibrant feeling to them. The shading and lighting from the lantern is easily to best part of the overall colors. It's very easy to see the transition from a lighter shade to a darker shade, and it's done so well that it looks very natural, almost as if a light was just shined over the whole character so simply. I also like the violet color you used on the left side of the image, as it also adds a very clear distinction between the light and darkness. I don't see the stars, moon, or even a night sky, but that color you used for the other side of the image easily gives the impression that it's also night time. So excellent work on that.
To be perfectly honest, I don't see anything wrong with this picture. Perhaps if someone looked really hard to spot something to criticize, they might find it, but personally, I can't find anything to nitpick or point out for improvement.

I was actually going for a night scene wit this one - however as it only started out as a practice doodle I didn't do a background,
but I'm happy that my idea still shows through and I'm happy to hear you enjoy this piece.

Doodling often means starting with something random with no intentions of making it a full piece - and then I end up doing it anyways XD
