It's impressive with how Mario Kart Tour has been able to receive new content for 4 years straight. At first I would not believe that it's a main game based on the lack of anti-gravity and what MK8 had been doing with retro tracks, but it's proven itself by bringing content from it to Nintendo's own system, though there had been some missed opportunities with the way they turned out:

And it's a part of something that's been around for 5 years already rather then being it's own game. With the amount of time that Mario Kart Tour receiving new content, it's worth wondering if there was anything intended that never made. Why the tracks I'm about to list never made it could be due to what the devs were like with the game prior to 2022, and good ideas they had at the time which have turned out not so good after all:
*SNES Bowser Castle 1
*SNES Bowser Castle 2
*SNES Koopa Beach 1
*SNES Mario Circuit 4 (Would've been nice to go with GBA Bowser Castle 4 with how it would play and how it would be without T and R/T versions)
*SNES Ghost Valley 3
*RMX Koopa Beach (And maybe some other RMX tracks as well)
*N64 Sherbet Land (Could've been the one to be like Kalimari Desert)
*N64 Banshee Boardwalk
*GBA Mario Circuit (There could've been all 3 GBA Circuits like how the game has all 3 N64 Circuits)
*GBA Cheese Land
*DS Yoshi Falls
*DS Tick Tock Clock
*Wii Moo Moo Meadows
*Wii Toad's Factory
*Wii Mario Circuit
*3DS Wuhu Island Loop
*3DS Music Park/Melody Motorway
*3DS Wuhu Mountain Loop
*3DS DK Jungle
*An 8th Prefixless Track (Since Believe Wave 6 will have 4 Retro Tracks like Waves 4 and 5)
What I listed comes from data mined assets and ID gaps, I even listed battle courses that couldn't make it due to how they kept sticking to 3 of them.
