crap! i saved it in wrong file extension. i accidentally saved this as a .jpg file instead of a .png file. now it has a bunch of stupid dots all over it. bad quality! x(so i tried coloring with copics. i have to say, it aint my thing. i dont like it. i suck. if i were as good as toounit i would be like "i love copics! yea yea!" but i cant seem to get the quality that he has in his pics. i try editing in photoshop, and it helps but it still looks wack. like miku's hair isnt so cyan in the real version but once i scanned it, it became sooo bright x_x im gonna stick to digital.. photoshop<3
and i wasted soo much damn ink on the balloons and sky. i'm gonna run out of blues and i just got these copics >_<
tools = copic sketch markers, micron pen, touchups in photoshop and psp8
i heard unipin is good for lining. any thoughts?

i also like the backround evenness, that is hard to do w/ copics. the baloons look cool too ^^

.. I think more than $2 actually. $3.50 depending on brand? But I don't really remember.
Also, they dont seem to work well - the ones I can find. I sampled them in the shop and I dunno... :\

i find copic markers at hobby lobby or some other art supply store. they are like 6$ each over there so i dont usually buy them unless i really NEED a color. usually i order online which is much cheaper.
i know toounit uses unipen and he makes it look like the best pen ever. sadly, i cant ever seem to find one. i'd order it online but my parents refuse to help me with it xD

bleh i dont like colored pencils. i think copics are way better cuz they are way faster to use. i always color too lightly with colored pencils, but copics dont have that problem. yup invest in some copics in the future, they are fun too look at too (such a unique lookin marker) xD

I can't afford copics... :\ I dont even know where to get them, apart from at the Museum. I really hate my country sometimes... >___> Seems like they're availiable everywhere else but here... or maybe I'm not looking hard enough. =__=

With Copics...I fail. Simple as that.
Of course, I don't have many of the colors that I would need to actually finish a project.

when using copics ur supposed to use some sort of manga paper, instead i use watercolor paper... i notice the color is different depending on the type of paper u use. copics are hard to use cuz it takes some getting used to, its not straight forward like computer coloring is, but i would recommend anyone to try it at least once, go buy some lol.

im not on rmd or anything cuz im so busy with school. its like i etheir have hw or i gotta study for a test the next day. i might go back to it for the summer, right now school's just killing me =[

I have to wonder... with highlights with these kinds of markers, do you simply not mark... or is there something else going on? Everyone who uses Copics markers seems to have that incredible sense of light in their drawings, and... there has to be more to it. I've never seen anyone do something like this with... Crayola. XD

for the highlights do u mean the white parts? i use a white gel pen for that.

I got the copic ciao 36A set and then I harrased my parents till they bought me another 20 markers individually. xD

haha lol xD i got the copic sketch 72 B set. its alot of copics and i had to pay it with my own money even tho it was a "present" from them, well my dad payed $20 for the tax but it doesnt compare to the $300 i payed >_< buying the markers individually costs a lot too, at my store they sell for like $6 each, its awful.
