Ashenna's character is really coming together for me, and hopefully her hair is looking better and better. : ) Just so everyone knows, she's quite a bit older than K'mlar, late 30s, early 40s (not to put too fine a point on it) She's in very good shape though and still considered the great beauty of the Weyr (not counting K'mlar :

Well, I've only read a few of the Pern books, all out of order, so I wouldn't get it if it's specific to Pernese dragons.

Overall a lovely page! I love her hair it looks great. I think you did a fine job making her look older.
Some input, when you have them looking to the side in profile, the face looks sort of flat. I'm not sure how that could be remedied though. Also, it was sudden how she was talking with him and then *bam* she shouts at him for starting to walk away.

Oh, I completely know what you're talking about. When I started to screentone that profile shot I just started to hate it, and for some reason, the flow of scenes worked so much better in the thumbnail sketch...not nearly so jarring. It makes her seem like she's got a really quick temper.

Very nice. I'm normally against the bending of the Impression standards (though I will accept what Anne McCaffrey does, such as the more masculine lesbians riding blues), but you captured me from the beginning with your fun characters and (of course) the slash. ^^ (I mean, a guy on a gold... there WILL be slash. ^^ And the thought of K'mlar as a "Wyerwoman" makes me giggle. A lot.) Very nice job. Your dragons look amazing (*envious*), your costume designs are really awesome, and your characters are really enjoyable. I'm looking forward to some shonen-ai.

Yeah, that's what I found out looking up Dragonriders stuff... I think there's a Dragonriders branch of wikipedia or something. It was a statement from Anne herself, and I found it interesting. ^^

FYI: The pernese lifespan is quite a bit longer than the Terran one. A humans life on Pern is generally about 100-110 years. So a forty year old is still in the prime of her life. It might not be easy for her to have babies, but she would still be hot. And she is. xPPPPPP
And wheres this Shounen-Ai you mention? I see none even though I've been waiting for it since like, the beginning. xD

heheh, I'm still developing it! I like a slow build up. It's so much more satisfying at the end then. I like to think that it's more a story about K'mlar than a story about relationships and shonen-ai.
