Very good shot, love the colors and the symmetrie in it.. You were really lucky that it posed for you for such a long time. I usually experienced that they fly away when I'm close enough to get such a great macro shot

I found this picture about a week or two ago while browsing for damselfly/dragonfly photos to use as resources for my Final Piece as my coursework for my current Art project (part of my GCSE course at school), and FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. My Art teacher and my friends love it too!
I am painting it on A1 watercolour paper, planning to use watercolour, colouring pencils, iridescent (sp?) acrylic paints and shiny collage.
I hope you don't mind, I will credit you as appropriate in my sketchbook because this piece is absolutely amazing and is the inspiration for my final product to end my school year!!
