made with... acrylics ?! I was so convinced it was watercolors! I can't imagine how hard it has been to obtain this effect

Thanks for commenting. I just added lots of water to the acrylics. You can do quick washes and just let the paint drip and spread on the canvas.Β
I sometimes use water spray bottles that you use to water plants and just spray it on the canvas to water stuff out, or use a really big brush with lots of watered down paint.
The spray bottle with water in it can get some great effects. Plus I have the canvas laying flat on the floor sometimes so the watery surface doesn't drip too much.
