It had been hours... and now, she was in labor. The red Akita groaned and moaned, moving around uncomfortably. She attempted to get in a comfortable pose, but nothing worked. She let out a pained yelp, which caused two figures within the cave to awaken. It was her two brothers, Daichi and Arashi. The two began to approach, and from how their sister was moving... it was time! "Rita, are you..?" Arashi trailed off. "Yes, she is! Quick, get near her head. Hold her." Daichi said. Arashi nodded, running over to his sister, attempting to hold her still. "Rita, its okay. Its us. Calm down." Arashi spoke softly, causing his sister to calm a bit.

"T-The p-pain..." She gasped, grunting as she felt it... the first pup was coming. "We know sis, we know... just relax and push... I can see the first pup's head coming out..." Daichi spoke with gentleness, attempting to keep Rita calm. He watched as a small, brown head began to come out. "Keep pushing, the pup's coming out." Rita began to push with all her might. She shut her eyes, whining slightly. Finally, after several more minutes of pushing, the small brown pup came out with a loud yelp.

"Good job sis." Daichi carefully nudged the pup over to his sister's stomach, so it could nurse. Instinctively, Rita began to lick the dark brown pup clean. Almost after she was done, she yelped, feeling another pup coming. "Here comes number two, come on Rita. Keep pushing." Arashi said, stroking his sister with his paws to make her relax a bit. "Here it comes..." Daichi said, watching as a dark red-like colored head began to show. After a moment or two of pushing, the pup came out, yelping. "Great job." Once more, Daichi nudged the pup over, now next to its sibling.

"I... it hurts s-so badly..." Rita whimpered. "You're almost there Sis. Just hang in there. Don't quit on us." Daichi spoke sternly, but still gently. Soon, the third pup was born, a small red-pink like one, with black stripes. "Well, this one certainly has Arian's genes." Daichi said as he nudged it over with the other two pups. "Think that's all of them?" Arashi said. "I think so-" Daichi stopped when Rita yelped again. "Another?" Daichi went over, looking. Yes... there was one more. A small silvery head was coming out. "Come on little one, come on..." Daichi spoke gently.

Finally, after some pushing, the small silvery pup came out, yelping shrilly. "I think this the last one." Daichi carefully carried the small one over, placing it next to Rita's front leg. "D... did I... do g-good..?" Rita asked tiredly. "You were more than that. You were fantastic." Daichi said proudly. "Someone, go and find Arian, he must see his pups!" Arashi called. Nodding, someone ran off, to search for Rita's mate, Arian. Eventually, the silvery Kai Ken mix ran in. "Rita!" The red Akita merely smiled, looking at him. "I did it Arian... I did it..."

The silvery Kai Ken approached, looking at his four pups. "Rita... they're beautiful." He smiled, nuzzling his mate gently. "You did fantasic." "Well... my brothers helped." Rita smiled at her two older brothers. "Just doing what we can, Sis." Arashi said with a smile. "Yes. We're family, and we will help." Daichi said. Rita looked at her small pups. "...Do you think Mum and Dad... do you think they'd be proud as well?" The two brothers looked at each other, before nodding at her.

"Of course Rita. They'd be very proud of you. But, I'm sure they were watching... from Heaven." Daichi said the last bit softly. Rita gave a nod, looking back at her pups. "And, I've decided on names for them." "Oh?" Arian looked at his mate. "What are the names?" "Babhru, Aruni, Cenwig, and Mayu." Rita looked happy with those names. "Great names Sis." Daichi smiled, Arashi nodding. "They're perfect, Rita." Arian smiled as well, laying down to get a better look at the pups. A new generation was born...

Whew. Well, yes, my first Ginga OC finally had puppies! A big thanks to for the pup's designs! :3 I also had to edit in a fourth pup, since the original lineart had three pups, not four. Hope you all enjoy!
