A whole month without drawing Peridot? Well how about that. Heck, I haven't really been posting sketches much at all, have I?While I work on a few more polished things, have this fun painting of Peridot I did a few days ago.

Peridot stiffened at the sound. She'd thought she'd be alone at the barn tonight, as Lapis would be staying with Steven until the following morning. However, the thumping she'd just heard proved that she was anything but.
"Hello?" Peridot called out from the loft. Her words were swallowed by the silence.
Pausing her Camp Pining Hearts tape, she leaned to scan the dark interior of the barn, taking in the familiar contours of the objects scattered about. Everything seemed to be in order, however the lack of moonlight that evening made it difficult to tell for certain. After a tense few moments, she reached for the remote to continue her television marathon when another, louder sound resounded through the still night air. This time, it had come from just outside the barn.
"Who's out there?" Peridot yelled out, dropping down from the loft. Anxiety quickly mounting at the lack of response, she activated her gem light and crept towards the curtained off barn door. Maybe it's just one of the Crystal Gems coming over to 'hang out'. Another thump. Peridot picks up a mop. O-or maybe homeworld gems, coming to shatter me for my treason.
Thoughts racing, Peridot tread carefully toward the partition until she was no more than an arm's length from it. The curtain swayed gently in the night breeze, suddenly betraying the silhouette of something standing just on the other side.
Startled, Peridot called out "Wha!? Who's there?! Steven, Amethyst? Is that you?!" The shape moved at the sound, leaping forward towards the green gem with a yelp. She flailed the mop to no avail as the form leaped and tackled her to the floor.
"AAAAaAAAAAAAAagh-URF"
Winded, Peridot leaned her head to catch a glimpse of her attacker when-
"Llliiiiiiick~"
"Pumpkin!" It was none other than her and Lapis' pet pumpkin dog who sat happily on her chest cavity, happy to see her. "Pumpkin, you scared me! I thought you were Yellow Diamond coming to shatter the Great Peridot!!" she scolded. Pumpkin panted in response. With a snort, Peridot gave the dog a pat before shoving him off and standing upright.
"Well, I suppose since you're here, you can watch Camp Pining Hearts Season 2 with me'" she mused while brushing dirt off her uniform. "I am in need of integral data from this particular bracket of episodes for my latest analysis, and assistance deciphering it would be most welcome."
"Bark Bark!"
"Good boy!"
