look at each of them closely
there are key differences
Like:
eyes
hair formation
leg positioning
body build
angle of dip

If you layer both the pictures on top of the other, you can see it's clearly not traced what-so-ever. Just referenced.

I compared the images and while she didn't trace (Lines don't match), she heavily referenced it and didn't give credit to the original, which is a bad thing in itself.

Maybe she got inspiration from it? I mean if you watch her livestreams you can clearly see she doesnβt trace. I mean its totally ok to reference something you like. Even if it looks the same. I mean sure, she should of gave credit but other than that, itβs not a big deal.

As if, I am no fool nor drama person. She has been accused several times in the past and she almost always get's away with it with weak-excuses and trying to change the way things actually are. Tracing and reference are NOT the same thing. If your pictures looks the same pose, character, colors, background, etc. Then she did trace it. Changing art style, characters and colors does NOT make it any different. That is a lame excuse many tracers use and get constantly away with it. Now, if you see a picture to get an IDEA of how the character is and the palette colors plus any other thing you might need then its actually a reference because its just RESEARCH.
If she got "inspiration" out of this then she must say so. The resemblence of both pictures is WAAAY too high to think its just a coincidence.
Mixi for me can be a pain in the ass sometimes, pardon my french. And I hardly think of someone in that way so she actually did something more than once to earn that point of view in my own eyes.
Now lets say you are right! She saw this picture once and it was stuck in her head and she just drew it but didn't remember if she saw it before. Then it is not so bad but there still needs to be given the proper credit.
If someone did this to me and it was actually an accident then I wouldn't be mad at all but I would still demand for proper credit or for the image to be shut down.
And I don't watch her livestreams nor do I plan on doing so.

Well talking to her about it she really doesn't care what people think

She said that she had a painting assignment so she did a few sketches and because she liked this one she digitized it
And I know this changes the subject a bit but
why are people making such a big deal out of this yet noone ever cares about things that are obviously stolen? like this thing I saw today for example [link]
And also this is far to old of a piece for her to care about, she finds all this "drama" amusing because again, people are making a huge deal over something so long ago

All of those really sound like she doesn't give a damn and just excusing herself.
Saying that it was "something so long ago" is another lame excuse to get away with it.
If someone stole your master piece of art which you are really proud 5 years later, wouldn't you be mad?
The issue being old and this being a not so big drawing is semantic.
She did something wrong AGAIN and honestly she better start behaving herself. Only reason she got a name on the MLP community is because she can be noisy but her art is a C+ at best which means nothing out of the ordinary. Don't get me wrong, I don't say there is bad art but sometimes you wonder how many excellent artist go unnoticed while simple and non-creative art spreads like sound.
Let's just see what is she going to do. Sooner or later the glass will be spilled.
P.S.: Apologies to the author for posting this sort of comments on your Art which is good and colorful. I can see how much effort and joy you put in those.

Why would my greatest piece of art be something I did 5 years ago?
Issue being old is something you have to take into account because how she is now is different then what she was 6 months ago

Don't compare styles of art just so you can say which one is better, if the artist likes their style they have no reason to change it and in my opinion you can't judge people's art by comparing it to someone else's art
To me you compare someone's art to their older works of art to show how they have improved

She did because I saw it. I know that sounds lame and it does but unfortunetly I don't have proof because she deletes most of it or it is WAY old and could take a ridiculous amount of time to find it IF it were to still exist.
And yes, People change but not always for the better.
And when did I start comparing Art styles? I told you to do not misunderstand me, Art is Art and I am no one to say who is better unless its for personal opinion and so, I see her quite often on the MLP community but I rarely see other artist which have, not only by my opinion, but overall an even more creative work. By creative I mean something different but not better.
And even if newer art tends to be better there is in fact people, like my Ex, that is fond to their oldest works even if those don't look as good as the original ones. "How old the issue is" remains as semantic. An old crime will be punished as soon as it is discovered. And NO, this isn't a crime that was just an example.

I had the decency of admitting that was a pretty lame claiming and you just focused on that to keep yourself afloat? but nevertheless it is the true.
But you know what? Just forget it. Mixi is a famous artist so she is going to get away with it and honestly I remember why I even blocked her blog to make sure I don't see her. Little girl who thinks she is tough and has a big mouth, never liked that combination.
And I do admit this was a big fuss but the reasons were justified.
Let's just let this die because she is never going to admit she made a mistake unless it is to make her look all wise and nice. I saw her 6 months ago and to this day, she hasn't changed a bit. And if she did it was that all the popularity got to her head. 'Tis a shame to lose a good artist. But I don't want to have anything to do with her and so does many of my friends.

She isn't going to "admit" to any of this because it is pointless and old
plus you are asking her to give credit to a reference
and the thing is, the Cuty person also used a reference because there is no way I'm going to believe that she just saw Luna a few times then drew her from memory
even if it was "just to get the color and hair" you can't say that there is an extent of how much you reference till you need to give credit

i was thinking about luna right before she changed, so she's feeling the jealousy of being overshadowed but hasn't let it manifest itself as nightmare moon yet (if that makes sense X3)
