Description i wasn't much interested in le tour eiffel ...

but in the people around it.

besides avoiding the idiots trying to sell me plastic wind-up birds ...

they do understand "fuck off," by the way ...

i saw this little girl with her grandfather's dog ...

something about it works.

ilford delta 400, 125th at about f/8.

no prob.

you'll LOVE a 35! that is if you're shooting film ... otherwise ... with most digital ... it ends up being a 50!

hehe..just yesterday i wanted to buy a wide lens (28mm - max. 16 euro) for my analogue cam on ebay, but they tricked me (16,50)
on my dslr i have a (28-70) lens..but now I will shoot more with the analogue cam (have now 50 and 70-210mm) but i will have a 35mm or less mm lens!

I think it's awesome. everybody's back is against you, then you see this girl who's staring at the dog. great.
looks like it could've been taken a loooong time ago, if it wasn't for the clothes of ppl and stuff. u know.
^^
I didn't enjoy the eiffel tower either, too much people, CRAZY about getting up on top. and I have a fear of heights. yip

Have you seen of the people are just going in the queue like idiots ? Just to reach the first or second floor and see the city from a lil more higher point.
I don't get them.

Nice shot, i remember having problems because fo the ambient dust under the Tour Effeil.

How much did you enjoy Paris?

Nice shot. It's good to see regular life... celebrities are made to be something they're not. I don't mean any disrespect, your photography is beautiful. I just don't support this culture of make believe...

wonderful frame here! i just got back from europe, and found myself doing the same thing.. watching the people under the eiffel and not the tower. came out with a few nice shots but nothing as good as this one here.

the 10 minute "conversation" with the homeless man playing me his recorded was the highlight, for sure.

Haha! i just noticed the little girl and the dog. I was thinking to myself, chris... the eiffel tower? But the tension (not really but i can't describe the interaction) between the dog and the little girl is great! the tower frames and then stretches the scene, making it somewhat comical.

Bloody street peddlers!! Do they ever run out of those damn flying birds?? Love the dog on the leash on the far end of the frame...perfectly balanced moment.

I love how you make grain & contrast work in your favor. The structure of the tower is a great frame for the shot. I like how so much is going on, but the girl and the dog are just kind of bored in the midst of it all. +fav
