I certainly don't mind the big hips, but I think the reason so many people are speaking out against it is because she's so thin everywhere else. The idea, I guess, is that she would either be round in more places or narrower of booty.
The one thing that I would have asked you to change is the color in which you added your signature. Because of the high contrast of the light signature on the darkest section of the painting, my eye keeps darting back to that corner...
"Face, signature, boobs, signature, abs, signature, boobs again, signature, forearm"
I think the reason I didn't see this effect in the Megaman and Samus paintings is because they were surrounded by stars and twinkling bits on all sides, so the signature blended in more easily.
Your other paintings seem to have a more traditional... "aspect ratio", whereas this one is narrower. Have you been getting pre-made canvases or building your own?

I like some things but don't like others. I think this was somethin you churned out really quickly so I'll spare it an indepth critique and just say that I like your others a bit better. Also its about 2:20 and I'm dogtired.
Love the subject matter though. And the painterly qualities are kind of nice. But in some ways it just looks messy.
Anyway. It's a joy to see your actual paint and canvas stuff. You're supremely talented. Cant wait to see what you churn out next.

It came out very well. I also just checked out your piece in the Street Fighter Tribute book. Two of the artists featured in it (Andre Mina, and Justin Wong) went to school with me, so seeing their work published next to yours was a thrill and excitement on so many different levels!
