Description
As per snippets of my original description on FA made 3/16/11:That MLP show is infectious... I think of things to do to fix Nan's laptop when it gets here, and ponies STILL come to my mind... =oP

EDIT: For those of you who don't get my punchline, watch this: [link]
... that vid is low-quality and kinda choppy, but you get the point; if anyone's wondering, it's a clip from the 17th episode, Stare Master. ;o)
EDIT: Most of my friends already know this, but as I've horridly neglected dA, I should point out that I've been single as of January 25th, 2012... and no, I don't wanna talk about it...

Yeah, I wouldn't let them touch my computer, they'd void the warranty.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't think the girls will be able to solve all that. Maybe Twilight could with her magic?

Hee-hee, there were a lot of things they thought they could do... as for Twilight, I'm more inclined to think she'd fix it just by reading the right book first than just using her magic, (though she may use her magic to type on those tiny keys). ;o)

L0L, good observation! I could see one of 'em aiming the screwdriver right where the virus pops up on screen and WHAMMO!

I'm sure it is, though I'd also bet that the computers in Equestria wouldn't get ridden with malware to begin with. ;o)

Do they even have computers in Equestria? Hmmm...

Does any of the stuff Twilight hooked up to Pinkie Pie in the episode Feeling Pinkie Keen count? I wouldn't be surprised if there actually were computers in Equestria, but I'm not too sure they'd play as large a role as they do in real life...

Yeah, I suppose that counts. Does Viny' Scratch's turntable count too?

Depends... if it's purely analog, probably not; though if it involves any digital components, then it most likely would. ;o)

Um...
I don't completely understand the mechanisms behind which a turntable functions, but in the very basic sense, digital means ones and zeros (like how a computer talks), and analog means a curvy wave like what you see on an EKG machine...
Sorry, I hope that made sense...

Ones and zeros as in binary? Yeah, I understand. What's an EKG machine?

EKG stands for Elektrokardiogramm, which in English is "Electrocardiograph". An EKG machine records an interpretation of the electrical activity of the heart over time... here's an example of the output: [link]
Notice the wavy lines... much similar to the readings that Twilight was recording when she had Pinkie hooked up to all that equipment... at least we know now part of her equipment was analog to an extent. ;o)
I probably could have said "oscilloscope" instead of EKG machine, as some EKG machines use oscilloscopes-- another way to display the analog "waves" I mentioned earlier... for an example of an oscilloscope, see this: [link]
