Description
Part used: [link]Spinalcord attached (with pins for now) along with the ribs. I might leave the last rib out though seeing as he also needs a tighbone.
I know the anime version doesn't draw him with ribs but some panels in the manga do show him with them so yeah... I just stuck with that seeing as the manga is always correct.
If you look closely you can see a finished shoulderblade and some more ribs laying around.

I'm not really sure how exactly the plush thing started really. It was quite sudden. Creativity has always ran in the family here and I learned the basic sewing skills from my mom and the 'creative afternoons' we had at school when I was very young. The plushing started with one plush that I made because no one had ever made one. So made it and decided to post it on DA. That resulted in many comments and even inquiries for commissions. I was pretty surprised/ shocked.
Eventually my confidence in skills grew and I continued sewing and getting more of a feeling for it. Especially when I sold a large dragon plush and someone offered me $200 for it (I almost fell off the couch when I read that XD) I think that kind of pulled the trigger and was the moment when I realized I might have some potential for this.
It took years to get where I'm now and honestly I never expected to go from drawing to sewing, being succesful to the point where people are willing to wait a year to get on my commission list. I'm still learning with every new plush I make and constantly try to improve myself. It has really become a great passion for me.

The Shukaku pattern I have for sale is suitable for beginners but know the basics of plushing. Most should be able to it.

are you making this on your own? if so what are you using for this?

CyanFox3 In reply to devilshellhound [2011-08-03 22:06:51 +0000 UTC]
Yep, just a little project of my own. c: I use nothing special for this plush. Just fabric and stuffing. The pattern for each part is handdrawn.

Yeah, that's what I usually do c: I really want to be sure everything fits well before I sew it together. Prevents waste of thread and time. [link] The spine was put loosely together already and I just added the ribs inbetween.
