Cinch turned Celestia into her daughter with a device with each zap making her more part of crystal prep with it first making Celestia co-headmistress, then teacher, then teacher's aide, then intern then finally student/daughter
The sequel has Tia (her name now) go and take the device to turn twilight into her aunt.
