Description
It was a dark stormy night. The weather was not unusual for the humid jungle however, the night was cold. Most African nights were hot and wet, something was off tonight. A large creature sat in the center of the clearing, a smaller pony was approaching the large creature.
Creature: "I never thought I'd see your face here again. When my guards told me they saw you here, I didn't believe them." He stood taller than the mare, his head held high and his eyes studied her.
Pony: "I never thought I would have to " Her voice was weak. She had flown a long way but there was a tiredness to her voice that was deeper than physical pain.
Creature: "I've endured your presence long enough Daring. Get to the point." He took a step closer, the mare didn't look up.
Daring: "What we had could never be, Ahuizotl." She took a step closer, revealing she had something hidden under her wing.
"I wish we had never met" she took another step closer, Ahuizotl's icy glare cracked under the pressure.
"I wish I had never fallen in love with you" she whispered in his ear, causing a jolt of emotion to runt through the Zotl. Before he could move, the mare placed something in his paws before shooting off into the night. Ahuizotl froze as he watched the brown pegasus fly away into the trees before looking down. There in his large paws was the tiniest creature he had ever seen. Tears welled in the great creatures eyes. Showing emotion was a sign of weakness but it was too great to suppress.
Ahuizotl was now a father.

Ahhh sorry it's so short! I didn't want the exchange to be long plus I'm super new at this so this is my first attempt. Please feel free to tell me critiques or point out grammar mistakes in the comments! I speak only English but I am an awful speller so I'm sure there will be typos in the future
So I finally got most of the characters I need to start my NG story line designed. I've had this story on my mind for a while and I'm really excited to be starting!! I wanted to do this right so I've been waiting until I've got all my characters relationships set, I'll be posting the chart soon. This story is going to revolve around Mehit and her journey. I'm excited

I guess my only critique would be the use of "script writing" (using Pony: and such). Your writing would be perfectly understandable without the need to clarify who is talking at that moment. But then again that's just my opinion ;o

Good point! I'm still working out how to write it but for this one, I wanted to keep the names vague until one character identified themselves through dialogue (even if its pretty clear who's talking lol). Definitely going to take your comment into account though, thanks!
