Well the Back to the Future sets sold out fast. A lot of scalpers bought up lots to sell them for profit on ebay. Although I did see a couple in Toys r Us a few weeks ago. So if you check in some toys shop you may find one. Or you can always ask Santa! hehe

They might have had them in Target. But more than likely sold out.

It was Lego Wasteland in Target today! I was trying to find something for my brother for Christmas and ended up getting a small Lego City set for him.

With Xmas coming up everyone buys up all the Lego sets. Mostly leaving the super expensive sets. Which small lego set did you get? I normally pick up the smaller ones.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CyberDrone In reply to Carnivius [2013-08-25 15:39:53 +0000 UTC]

£35! A little bit more than I would normaly pay for a Lego set. But its back to the Future and goes towards the Parkinson's charity.

Carnivius In reply to CyberDrone [2013-08-25 15:43:31 +0000 UTC]

£35?!!! For a little lego car?  That's nuts even if some does go to charity... I thought it would be about £12 or so... £15 at most...   Think I shall pass.

CyberDrone In reply to Carnivius [2013-08-25 16:17:50 +0000 UTC]

The box is the size of a £25 set. Mine has a spelling mistake on the flux capacitor too. Says Sheild instead of shield.

Carnivius In reply to CyberDrone [2013-08-25 16:20:59 +0000 UTC]

Doesn't seem to be enough pieces for even £25.  Is all Lego that expensive now?   And wrong spellings too?  tut tut... for shame, leog

CyberDrone In reply to Carnivius [2013-08-28 10:49:58 +0000 UTC]

I think the set has 402 pieces. But yeah Lego is expensive these days. Price has gone up too adding £3-£5 to some sets. That's why I Don't buy many these days.

Carnivius In reply to CyberDrone [2013-08-28 11:11:12 +0000 UTC]

I kinda miss some of the large sets I had when I was a kid.  Had a cool Space Police spaceship with lights that could be reconfigured into a robot.  I remember actually purchasing that from the Woolworths after craving it for so long there.
Also I loved the Haunted Castle set (was when they first brought in glow in the dark ghosts and had revamped the Knights to look awesome) and the Robin Hood castle that was built within a tree... that was cooool.

Bought a transformer in my local charity shop.  Wingsaber. Is a 'movie' redeco of cybertron Wingblade (and thus can combine with cybertron Prime who wasn't in the movie line) has electronics (not much but a red light and machine gun sound) and is missing the wing flaps that form his blades and missing launchers.  He does have two small guns (which form the hilts of his swords) and he looks kinda cool.  In is realisitic A10-inspired jet mode anyways.  Was only £2.50.   May sell it later on.

CyberDrone In reply to Carnivius [2013-08-30 09:31:37 +0000 UTC]

Those old Lego sets were great. They go for crazy money on eBay though.

I have the Galaxy Force Wingsaber. Basically like a brick hehe but looks cool and even cooler combined with Prime. £2.50 bargain. Should get a good price on eBay I should think. If I get time I might hit a car boot this weekend. Getting to the end of the season so might be some bargins to be found. Knowing my luck though I won't find anything.

Carnivius In reply to CyberDrone [2013-08-30 10:15:11 +0000 UTC]

I found Wingblade's rocket launchers in the charity shop the next day.  Explained to them it was part of my previous purchase and they let me take them for no extra charge.
I like his plane mode a lot.  Robot mode a bit chubby but ok (and I choose to transform him a lil different to instructions)

By the way I been tweeting with a guy who works for Character Options and his snarky attitude (when I ask him about why certain figures are variants when they would sell tons more as regular releases such as a screaming angel and why the angel figure doesn't just simply have two swappable heads) has me wondering why the hell I've been that company my money...

CyberDrone In reply to Carnivius [2013-09-02 10:55:29 +0000 UTC]

Yeah sometimes you got to look around for the extra bits if they are in a box.

Yeah they don't seem to know what they are doing! hehe They could make more money themselves instead of letting the scalpers makes hundreds of 'rare' figures

Carnivius In reply to CyberDrone [2013-09-02 12:34:42 +0000 UTC]

Found another Transformer in the same charity shop.  This one tfwiki.net/wiki/Hailstorm_%28T… minus all eight of his red missiles (I really looked for them but nope).  Odd that last week I get an Autobot who turns into a plane and this week I find a Decepticon who turns into what looks like an anti-aircraft tank thing, both from the movie line (even if the Autobot is a redeco of a cybertron toy).  cost £1

And yeah the guy got even more snarky and sarcastic and rude.  He's a total dick really.  I wonder if Character Options are aware of this.

CyberDrone In reply to Carnivius [2013-09-04 09:29:44 +0000 UTC]

Not seen that Transformer before. Looks cool and for a £1 is a bargain. I finally found some stuff in my local charity shop. Got a beat up Robocop (No Visor or chest plate), and old 80s Iron Man and a couple of M.A.S.K figures (No helmets). 10p each. Can't moan about that price. Plus went into a poundshop and picked up a carded Robocop figure too! I thought it was a knock off but It seem like a proper figure. From 95 by Toy Island. Is smaller that the 10p Robocop.

A carded RoboCop in a poundshop?  Take picture please.  I would like to examine.

And a RoboCop with no chest plate?  What's it look like under there?

I've taken a photo. I will be uploaded soon. All my 3 Robocops. hehe Did notice my 10p Robocop is missing a hand too. I just put it down to a battle with ED-209!

Carnivius In reply to CyberDrone [2013-09-06 09:50:11 +0000 UTC]

Yup.  Well... that figure still looks in better condition than RoboCop did after Cain's gang dismantled him in RoboCop 2...

CyberDrone In reply to Carnivius [2013-09-06 10:02:00 +0000 UTC]

hehe Yeah, not seen Robocop 2 for a while. It's still a pretty cool figure and for 10p you can't really moan.

Carnivius In reply to CyberDrone [2013-09-06 10:08:57 +0000 UTC]

I would like a RoboCain figure in scale with my RoboCop (the one you have on the left of your RoboCop figure picture).  Would be pretty big... but awesome.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CyberDrone In reply to Carnivius [2013-09-06 10:17:24 +0000 UTC]

I don't think they ever made a RoboCain figure did they? Maybe Neca could get on that after ED-209. But they people always say Robocop 2 is crap. But I like it. The first film is the best and the second is just Robocop in action. Plus it had Petter Weller in it. The first 2 films are way better that anything ales that followed.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Carnivius In reply to CyberDrone [2013-09-06 10:29:28 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I don't get why a lot of people don't like RoboCop 2. It might not be as 'clever' as the original but it's got plenty of violence, humour (I love imitating RoboCop's overly preachy bits to the kids. And the it where he's realising he's reading the rights to a dead man and goes "I'm..having..... trouble"), heart (more of RoboCop remembering his past life) and Cain made a far better opponent than ED-209.   Scarier too.   I love both the first and second films.

but yeah the third one doesn't even feel like it belongs in the same continuity.  The tone is so different and it's not right having no Weller.  Lewis is really the only thing that makes it feel like it belongs and then they kill her off anyways...

CyberDrone In reply to Carnivius [2013-09-09 15:59:57 +0000 UTC]

Wasn't Robocop 3 made like 2 years before it's release or something? I think it was at the time Orion was going belly up. But yeah Robocop 2 gets a tough wrap. I remember seeing it at the cinema. I was only 14-15 at the time. And it was the last 18 Roobocop.

Oh Have you seen the new trailer for the Robocop Reboot?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Carnivius In reply to CyberDrone [2013-09-10 18:06:26 +0000 UTC]

Trailer seems blandybland.  Car bomb instead of psychotic gang shooty death?  Boring.  They show original suit design and then change it all. The new one looked ok in silver and then they change it to black (oddly said by Michael Keaton's character... bat-black) so you can barely see it.  And the brief clips I saw of the new RoboCop he just seemed to act far too human... Nobody beats Weller's machine like performance where the humanity is trying to reach out past it all.   Looks weird that the new one has a human hand too making the other looked gloved.. kinda like Luke Skywalker... or Michael Jackson...

Eh I might give it a go cos there's some actors I like in it but.. ugh...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CyberDrone In reply to Carnivius [2013-09-11 11:23:07 +0000 UTC]

I thought the suit didn't look too bad when it was silver. Typical of Batman going for all black! hehe It does have a good few great actors in the film. But. It don't seem like its going to be no where as good as the original. I will watch it. I just hope its better than Robocop 3! hehe And yeah this Robocop will be more human than machine. Seems like he already know who he was. Ugh! I still give it a go.

Carnivius In reply to CyberDrone [2013-09-11 12:50:27 +0000 UTC]

Him knowing already just seems to take away a lot of the original point of the 1987 movie.  That it was his humanity struggling to reach out through the programming.  I have no idea what this new film's 'message' is meant to be.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CyberDrone In reply to Carnivius [2013-09-13 10:39:52 +0000 UTC]

Maybe the new film is him just trying to be a better husband. hehe

Carnivius In reply to CyberDrone [2013-09-13 12:01:53 +0000 UTC]

Maybe.  And heh, RobertCop (sorry, from a different post).  Hm.  Robert was the name of the guy who played him in RoboCop 3 maybe that's a connection.
