*SPOILERS FOR WRECK-IT-RALPH AND KID RADD BELOW!*
So, probably my biggest project yet. A full-on, wallpaper sized, crossover pic of Wreck-it-Ralph and Kid Radd.
From left to right, we have Felix, Ralph, Radd, and Bogey.
As soon as I heard the premise of the movie, I knew I had to do this. I mean, come on. They're so similar it hurts!
They both become buddies with the enemies in their game. They both go on an adventure through lots of different games, they both fight an evil sprite, then a final boss consisting of it fused with a virus... The list goes on and on!
Wreck-it-Ralph is pretty much Kid Radd: The Movie! (I still want a Kid Radd movie or TV series at some point though. It's got a much deeper story.)
For this picture, I only used colors in the NES pallet, even when coloring in their high-res selves. Naturally, I didn't keep to the color limit on the drawings, but I thought that it would add a subconscious 8-bit feel to it.
I was suprised by how well Ralph took to 8-bit. It fits him very well. I kinda wish that they'd used true 8-bit sprites in the movie now.
Looking back, I can see some things I should've done differently, but overall, I'm quite pleased with how they came out.
Wreck-it-Ralph and Fix-it-Felix Jr. are copyright Disney. Radd and Bogey are copyright Dan Miller.

Well I'll...be...damned...I feel like the worlds biggest fool for not making the connection.
Is there any indication that the people involved in the creation of WiR read Kid Radd? Did they ever mention it? Because that is one heck of a similarity.

Probably not. At least, if there is, nobody's saying anything.
I want to do a sort of crossover comic at some point where the arcade closes and Ralph and the gang's roms get dumped onto the internet and they end up in New Reset along with the Kid Radd crew.

Finally, FINALLY someone draws a parallel. The absolute first thing that I thought when I saw the trailers for this was "Woah, that's just like Kid Radd!"

That is what I was thinking while looking at the trailers (I still haven't seen the movie).
Whatever happened to Dan Miller? That guy dropped off the face of the internet as far as I can tell.

you know what would be cool yet scary, if Turbo teamed up with the Seer. then Ralph, Felix, Vanellope and Calhoon would have to team up with the rest of the gang to stop them. but sadly that won't happen cuz the comic ended, but we can dream can't we?

I'm actually planning a crossover fan comic that's along those lines.
According to Kid Radd, sprites don't really die unless their actual code is attacked, so Turbo is still out there, just invisible and intangible. (Sweet Dreams, Sugar Rush.)
All that needs to happen is he stumbles into an emulated rom of Turbo Time, and boom! He's back online, and ready to terrorize the entire internet!

Awsome, i can't wait to read it. from what i've seen in the movie he is able to alter his code without hurting himself makeing his hacking alsomet as good as a human.

True, but it should be noted that he quite literally cheated to do it. (Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left Right, B, A, Start generally doesn't involve playing fair.)
