Description
Another conceptual drawing of Ted Douglas, Crypto-Zoologist in action. This one is inspired very much by Ray Harryhausen's Sinbad art, you may recognize the pose.I'm still experimenting with layering the backgrounds and I got the snow wind effect by putting a plain white layer in the foreground and erasing it to reveal the background.

Epic. But I found out the yeti actually has reddish brown fur, not white.

Yea King Kong and Mighty Joe Young (The originals) are a big influence on this one.

I was thinking of an axe to begin with as I wanted that barbarian look but then I thought about it an axe involved smelting which is a little advanced I wanted the Yeti to be on the intellectual lines of a neanderthal. Although I'm toying with the idea of Ice weapons in the story where the yeti dip their spears into water and quickly pull them out to freeze.
