Sooo I am hoping this uploads. I am in the midst of a blizzard so my internet connection is iffy.
Introducing Sybelle's eldest daughter- Laila! I'll have to fill out a whole profile thing for her at some point but I'll put the basics in here.

In 1914 / the main FMA timeline Laila is 12. She is an orphan of the Ishval Civil War, living in the slums outside of East City. She's as well cared for as any of the other orphans in the make-shift town, as there is no shortage of children without parents. She is given food and a place to stay, but is never really taken in by any specific family. She attends the same "school" as the other orphaned children, which isn't much, especially since she is naturally very inquisitive and loves reading. She sometimes sneaks into the city to spy on the public school classes there, and takes any books she can get her hands on (but she never steals any, only out of the trash, because she is a good person). This goes on for pretty much her whole childhood, from the age of 6 to 12, until she meets the kind of scary new woman who has been hanging around their town. The adults are all wary of strangers after recent happenings, but Laila is curious, and so follows the lady around until eventually she gets caught. The woman doesn't seem too mean though once she starts talking. She asks about a man who Laila remembers as the one who recently disappeared with the scarred man after the bounty hunter fiasco. She's sorry she can't be of more help but the woman seems grateful anyway, albeit a bit tired. They sit and talk for a little while, and the woman invites her back to her home for tea as thanks. She has never been invited to tea. Was that something people actually did? She cautiously accepts, and THERE BEGINS A LIFELONG FRIENDSHIP.

I think Belle saw a bit of herself in Laila, and in a moment of weakness pretty much adopts her. Sure its under the guise of working for her at first. Like, I'll teach you and give you books if you can go out and gather information for me, but alas Belle is weak and she officially adopts the cinnamon roll. Which is good because Laila needs to keep her mother in line.

Also its hard to tell because she is 12 but.. Laila is tol. She's probably close to 5'10" as an adult. She eventually moves back to Ishval to become a teacher. Basically Laila is just a sweet, curious, shy ball of fluff and anxiety.
