So, I thought I'd take my own crack at the classic TMNT April O'Neil Mutation figure art sheet, do it in my own style, in color. Turned to be one of the teeth/hair pulling projects. It was meant to be done for... an event sooo long ago it makes it physically cry with how crap I am...

But, eventually got there.

I... was/am considering doing my own version of the radioactive whirlpool Mono TF... but sadly lots of teeth/hair pulling stalled stuff to work through first

Y'know it doesn't have to be a whirlpool. Your version of April's TF worked well and wasn't the original version of her fusing with a cat on a transportation beam thing. Just do something similar with Mona and I won't complain

or even bigger question, what should Human Mona wear...

Strangerataru In reply to CycKath [2009-07-31 22:49:42 +0000 UTC]

That's the problem: probably something that looks circa '90...which probably means something that looks like it's late 80s but before grunge moves right in.

Well... I was actually (seriously) thinking along the lines of either a jumpsuit (because that's the easiest way to "make" a Mona mutations figure like April) or her admittedly rather overboard for lab work and fishing trip dress and jewelry ensemble...

Strangerataru In reply to CycKath [2009-08-03 23:17:51 +0000 UTC]

Probably the former works better, mostly so maybe she and April can compare with one another

So either you or Cyckath going to make a Mutations Homeage Oor something of Mona Lisa?

Can't quite say, it's up to Cyc.

i'm confused where did the cat go?

i mean the ninja turtles started as turles is there a ninja cat running around now?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CycKath In reply to bohoki [2009-07-30 21:32:30 +0000 UTC]

Well, it doesn't seem to have been touched by the ooze, so possibly non-ninja mutant cat after all. I have considered the idea, kind of partnership between April and said ninja cat.

Somehow I imagine a half-cat April with an IQ of 250 to devote a lot of time to making giant balls of wool and lots of catnip.

Using non-mutant humans as an example, instinct and intelligence generally don't trump the other

Your honour, the defence presents Sarah from Peter is the Wolf.

But Sarah isn't human... *runs before questions of April's humanity are raised*

ProphetTenebrae In reply to CycKath [2009-07-31 10:45:34 +0000 UTC]

Ha, yeah... that's about right. Given humans often allow instinct to trump rational thought... I'd say it seems logical that animal hybrids would suffer from that to a greater extent.

Seriously, when you have dangerous mutagenic chemicals you'd think they'd spend more money on making more robust container for it. I guess that's one of the areas they cut corners in...

I'm guessing more a case of slimy wet sewers that promote rust wasn't really the optimum storage environment for them

That's neat. It brings back a lot of memories of the old toy when I got it. Still have it somewhere in the closet.

Sephzero In reply to CycKath [2009-07-30 03:28:54 +0000 UTC]

Nice, such a delightful piece out of all the rest of that set. Though never did quite get the whole IQ spiking in it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CycKath In reply to Sephzero [2009-07-30 03:33:28 +0000 UTC]

Well, explained why the Turtle progressed so much, must be side-benefit of Mutagen. Certainly different from regressed animal instincts taking over were-humans at least.

Sephzero In reply to CycKath [2009-07-30 03:35:15 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, but when it came to April it certainly just seemed a bit odd. Didn't seem like it was apparently giving her that great of an intellectual spike.

well, cartoon is different from "figures" I guess.

Perhaps, though you wonder how that boost will accompany the rest of the change. By the end of this chart it was quite some kick.

On the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode "Island of Dr. Hibbert" where Marge got mutated into a hot feline chick and Homer was getting it on with her. And for Selina Kyle in the Batman TAS episode "Tyger Tyger".
