Yeah, they are our "garden spider" here in Miami, all over our backyard.Β Very different from the common spiders other places I have lived

I was pretty surprised by them when I first moved to Miami, but like 90% of the spiders in my yard are these so you eventually get used to them.Β Lots of crazy looking insects live in the tropics (or nearby)

We can find them closer, than we think. I live in Poland, and there are also some colourful or strange insects. Especially those living in water.

I've got an occasion only once, that were larvae of caddisfly (they build protective "houses" from stones, wood or anything they find).

Obviously, quality is very bad (camera I used isn't waterproof). There is an artist, who keeps larvae in aquarium and gives them gold and gemstones to build their "homes".
