Absolutely original. It has tremendous depth, like I'm staring downwards into layer after layer of wiring and mechanical innards. Really, really amazing.

Thanks Lea for this nice comment, I haven't thought about an orrery, but I like this interpretation!

Fantastic piece!!!

Well I agree this was a tad weird, but at least very original!
Thanks a lot for your comment

I think you might have misunderstood me -- I didn't mean this was weird -- I meant that I was weird for thinking this was tubes with treasures in them.

This is a fantastic piece of work!!!
And you are very welcome!!

CygX1 In reply to AmazeMe [2006-07-29 14:39:22 +0000 UTC]

I had understood, but probably my answer wasn't very clear. When I said it was a tad weird but very original... I was speaking about your comment I'll never say "it's very original" about my own work...

So don't worry, no misunderstanding here, and thanks again! This was very considerate of you to clarify things

o.O Do you use scripts in apophysis?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CygX1 In reply to T4kumI [2006-07-27 02:32:04 +0000 UTC]

I don't use any script, I work with the transform editor, from scratch ("blank flame" button) when it's a new type of fractal.
I'm moving triangles, rotate them, rescale them and see what happens.
The key to find "new" fractal types is to try a lot of different values in the "Variations" tab for each transform, changing only one value at a time to see what it does. This is a very long learning process, but after some time (it took me some weeks), you start to get a "feeling" of what each variation can do.

For example, this fractal is the result of 4 transforms: 3 simple (1 blur, 1 linear, 1 julian) and one more complex using 3 variations at the same time, but a lot of very nice fractals can be made with only 2 or 3 transforms.

Well, now you know all my "secrets", and if you're into this, I wish you good luck

Maybe it's not a nuclear reactor core but, for example, a future computer core...
Many thanks for your comment and

Well, if that turns out to be the case, people will be spending all their time stareing at the inside of their computer rather than using it!!!!!!!!!!

This looks like some sort of weird storage rroom for whatever those spheres are. Great line work and light and the transparent orbs are very nicely done.
