Description
A "concept fractal": from a distance, it can be seen as the reflection of a tree in the water, but a closer look reveals some "brain-like" structures, suggesting two different meanings of the word "reflection".Also, from a mathematical standpoint, the symmetry in this fractal is not horizontal (like it would be for water reflection) but central, leading to more reflection.

Stunning looking tubular super-structures Luc ! I hope that you'll eventually be able to share some of these new techniques that you've been developing with the rest of us!

Thanks for your kind comment, I'm glad you like these structures!
Despite what you may think, the flame in itself has really nothing special, it's very close to the one described in the tutorial with some fine adjustments on variations values and placement of transforms.
The only thing I could add to the tutorial are what variations to use to achieve a given effect and maybe some ranges of interesting values... This is difficult, because what values are interesting for a variation actually depend on the position of transforms! However, I will think about it, I really need more experiments and some time before I can write something useful on the subject!

Thanks for the feedback Luc. I had read one of your previous postings about having discovered "new ways" to make tubes and assumed that this submission was a part of that ongoing experiment.

Actually it is a part of these experiments, that's why I have put "ways" into quotes, it's an evolution, not a revolution! I don't want to say too much at this time, but the basic flame still remains the same, the difference is brought by variations I had overlooked in the first version. This little basic flame still has an unknown potential, and I'm pretty sure other deviants will come up with things I'm not even close to imagine!

OK I get it now... You're doing something similar to the experiments that I've been doing with the Foo variation. I completely agree about this flame having potential.

How did I make this, I couldn't explain it simply... all I can say is I have played with Apo and my tube fractal technique for some time, and after a lot of tries and many little adjustments, I finally got it! Thanks for your kind comment, I'm glad you like it!
