This is the car I drive. It's a 1989 Buick Skyhawk, and New Jersey weather has ravaged the body. It's also one of the last of the Buick Skyhawks, as this was the last year they were produced.I've got a good writeup on it here: [link]

My parents had a 1985 Buick Skyhawk, which actually had a decent body. It's too bad the mechanical parts weren't. I still have the old aluminum mag rims and tires still. (they haven't been used in at least 5 or 6 years.)
They're still nice cars. In fact, I own a Cavalier that's the same age as yours. It's even the same colour! (here's some info: you can find the day your car was made by removing the radio and checking the label on top. this only applies if it's the original radio.)

On mine the opposite was true (until recently). The body was falling apart, but the mechanicals were sound. Then major components decided to die almost all at once...
