I continued a bit the idea of one inktober drawing of mine
Thought bit more of the technical details, so made a model of it with Blender. Here it is.

One of the recent inktober entries of mine (the prompt vessel, here: www.deviantart.com/cymoth/art/… ) got my imagination bit running, so had to develop it a bit further still. Here is a render of it:

the diameter of the rings would be bit over 2 km, width 200 m, thus having roughly one squarekilometer of living space on each ring. A rotation per minute would give there normal gravity if I'm not completely wrong. Mid part would be roughly 1.5 kilometers long, perhaps 100 m tall. Depending on floorheight, engine space etc, might have one more squarekilometer of (zero-gravity) living space.

I wonder, if this would be enough to sustain few hundred peoples with well planned and balanced environment?
