Description The transparent shoyru reveals an extremely anatomically inaccurate skeleton of the Shoyru.

Oh where to begin! First of all, the tail bones are WAY too thick. I see this mistake often where someone would draw a reptile's tails bones extremely thick because the tail itself is thick. The thickness of a reptile's tail comes from the MUSCLES, NOT the bones and seeing such thick ass tails bones really bothers be as a result.

The joints in the feet are incorrectly placed/positioned.... There should be joints where where the darker part of the shoyru's foot begins. Shoyrus tend to stand on their toes and their feet bend exactly where the darker part of their foot begins. This is because shoyrus have digitigrade legs and do not stand on the whole of the feet unless resting.Β Also, since they stand on their toes, their toe joints shouldn't be flat. Take an example from other animals who stand on their toes, such as cats and dogs: they have joints that are bent upwards, unlike the human's which are more flat.

Where's the spine and shoulder blades?! The poor thing is gonna have their whole top half of their body on the ground while their wings and arms just dangle loosely. Without a spine, the is no support for the entire upper region of the body. Without the shoulder blades, the arms and wings have no socket to sit in, so they would be useless floppy bags of meat. Also that shoyru's dead cuz ya need the spinal fluid to stay ALIVE! No spine, no spinal fluid.

And most of all, their biggest crime....The WINGS!! WTF are those things?! Wings are supposed to be like arms, similar anatomy must apply! The way the bones were drawn for the wing implies that the Shoyru flies by bending their wings, ALL the way forward...That transparent shoyru skeleton displays a creature with TWO radius's and no ulna!Β

There are some other mistakes, but I think I have covered enough...

I will give TNT some credit though, drawing skeletons is NOT easy....It is REALLY difficult. That drawing took a lot of effort and hard work to get right.

The transparent shoyru always bugged me because the anatomy just didn't look right. This is so much better!

The apparent lack of spine is actually explainable here, as it's likely just not visible, you know, being behind the shoyrus organs and all,
as the spines of any upright vertebrate animals often are.

You have a fair point, though it still leaves no excuse to leave out the shoulder blades.

I suppose so. Even then, the world of Neopets isn't really meant to be realistic, and as such it dosen't follow the same laws of nature that govern our world. One look at the map of neopia should tell you that much.

Yeah, but it's FUN to over-analyze! That is all this drawing is by the end of the day!

I see your point. I'm also a theorist in some ways, and i do enjoy worldbuilding on top of that,
but i'm probably not as much of a theorist as you or MatPat.
