Description
In a darker timeline Tails is granted a "gift" from a suspicious Two Tailed white fox which allows him access to all sorts of powers. Unbeknownst to him this power is something he has always had. He had simply been awakened and is now capable of accessing his naturally given kyubi power. The problem is this power is dark and corrupted by nature.

Blinded by his resurfaced grief after something reopened old wounds, he decides to try to use his new found powers to bring Cosmo back.

During the resurrection the corruption surfaces more and more causing his form to change.

He successfully brings her back, but it came with a massive price. Not only did he have no idea what he was actually doing or how to properly use these new powers, but they are corrupted by nature and generally manifest in a twisted manner.

Cosmo comes back as a fennec but there is something terribly off about her. She still looks very plant-like but she seems to be a pure fennec. Turns out the part of her which made her a Seediran had become parasitic and feeds off of her new animalistic embodiment. Her plant half is rooted deep within her flesh and slowly and painfully zaps her life away. Over time she feels weaker and weaker and needs constant medical attention.

Tails feels deep guilt for his failure and blames himself for her suffering. He was a victim of dark manipulation and feels as if he is eternally bound to his darker fate of being a yokai.
