The Redux Series continues with an updated version of my old Phantasie render (Find it here: [link] ). While it's not a bad render (at least when compared with my original Dark Angel render), I knew it needed the Redux treatment. So, looking at the original, a few things immediately stood out to me:

1) The hair. I remember that it bugged me even when creating the original. Needless to say, the original hair was replaced with something more realistic-looking.

2) The background. The background in the original was VERY simple (at the time I made the original, that was about the best my old laptop could handle). Like the hair, I scrapped the original scenery in favor of a more appropriate choice. Then I added in a few trees and even some hills (though the hills are hard to see) to add some depth.

3) The lighting. Again, I replaced the old with the new. I think I spent more time doing test renders to check the lighting then I did on anything else.
