Description
This was a cosplay for tekkoshocon 2007. It was supposed to be Sei Sakuraoka of Gantz. All in, it took almost 200 hours to make. (sewing maching died so I had to sew by hand, also engineering this was crazy!) With all the characters the series goes through, I could be anyone. What do you think?update:
I never thought a pic of my suit would be so popular! A big thanks to everyone for thier nice comments. It only encourages me to do more.
Also, Big giant squishy hugs to Gesetz for a sketch of yours truley ( I am super honoured, you have no idea) and Gantzcraziness for her swiggin Gantz art. (escp that one of Sei and the red one. Ah, heck, It's all smashing)

Man, this is really quite impressive. I actually havent seen any Gantz cosplay at all, so to see someone pull this off is pretty sick. It looks really uncomfortable though lol. It wouldve been sweet if you constructed a gun to go along with it.

Some one else made a very nice H-gun..
The suit itself is rather comfy...all except the neck piece. And it can get a bit
warm. There are a couple more Gantz cosplayers out there too. One in brazil, A group in Florida, a group in Italy, an a couple in Japan. I'd love to have another to cosplay with.
Wow, Have you seen the official gantz suit made for the commercials? Le-sigh... what I would do for that suit.

Wow beautiful costume, for sewing so much by hand thats amazing, and I cannot imagine having to plan it. I love the character too, she needs more love XD

Thanks! I was lucky in that while I was on hold on the phone at work, I could sew on it. Hell, if the grannys could knit in thier cubes while on the phone, I can sew damnit.

Ah, somewhat because it was the material. But it's a strong straight stitch and a simple zigzag stitch in places. The hard part was the designing and the collar.

Of 'corse i get super strength and speed! That was the hardest part of making the suit. Why else would I ever wear it! ...Ha-ha-ha.
