This was a cosplay for tekkoshocon 2007. It was supposed to be Sei Sakuraoka of Gantz. All in, it took almost 200 hours to make. (sewing maching died so I had to sew by hand, also engineering this was crazy!) With all the characters the series goes through, I could be anyone. What do you think?update:
I never thought a pic of my suit would be so popular! A big thanks to everyone for thier nice comments. It only encourages me to do more.
Also, Big giant squishy hugs to Gesetz for a sketch of yours truley ( I am super honoured, you have no idea) and Gantzcraziness for her swiggin Gantz art. (escp that one of Sei and the red one. Ah, heck, It's all smashing)

Its a rare Otaku that can pull off wearing a Gantz suit and still look damn good. Its one of the reasons why I chose Nishi when I did my Gantz Cosplay at Sakura-Con. I soooooo don't have a body to pull off a Gantz suit by itself. But since Nishi always wears his jacket and jeans over his Gantz suit, I felt it was a good compromise.
Plus, it let me get away with only making the gloves, boots and neck piece.
What material did you use to make your Gantz suit? I used latex spandex for the gloves and neck piece and used large rubber washers that I painted to look like the power caps.

I pretty much used the same materials. My powercaps are those coasters that you put under chair feet.

Did you have a serger handy when putting it together? I had to make do with a regular sewing machine myself. Zig-zag stitches did the job, but it didn't come out quite the way I liked.

Wee. I always liked how badass this girl was. And How she had an uncanny resemblence to laura croft. (And Kei loses his virginity to her, which is awesome.0 Nice ass by the way. Its fits the sexy part for her character.
