A light drizzle of rain fell from the sky before they had found any shelter and Lille disliked the humid feeling of the air and light water drops against her fur. Although it prevented the moon from peeking out, rain like this made Lille feel tired and out of it. It was not the calming effect of proper rain or thick fog, it was the icing cold type of weather, with wind, humidity and an unwelcoming chill. She looked at the trees around them, wondering if maybe this was a prediction of the upcoming autumn storm that would blow away all the pretty colored leaves before it even had time to fully develop their vibrant colors. Now and then she looked at the river bed, still not knowing what they looked for, but it appeared that the only thing they found so far was items only Skjåk had any use of. Or rather April as she got to know his human was called. Apparently the girl posessed some magical abilities, and needed the items for her works at the academy. Was it even okay for Skjåk to leave the academy grounds and his human like this? Not that it was any of her business to ask, but it puzzled her.

The river eventually got louder again as they closed in on a cave further up ahead. Lille walked a bit closer to the two stallions, Glamr looking like he was investigating the area already. Lille really hoped they could have a moment to relax there while they waited for the rain to stop. She felt tired and in need of rest. It was not like she was in bad shape or weak compared to the two stallions, but her neklace weighed more than it looked, both physically but maybe in particulary mentally. Eventually Glamr stopped and turned to the others, still at a distance to the waterfall and the cave to be able to speak above the loudness of the water.
'' The cave over there seems like a good shelter for the rain, with enough space for all of us. We should be carefull so that no other creature lives there already. We dont need a furious beer or wolverine attacking us right now'' Glamr stated, throwing a look at the others. Skjåk nodded agreeingly and so they walked ahead, slowly but steadily heading towards the cave entrance next to the loud waterfall.

At the entrance, it all looked to be in perfect order. It seemed like whoever had been there before had long since abandoned it. Maybe the entrance was too large and provided little shelter from harsher weather and snow in winter. It did not seem like a good spot to stay warm when the temperatures dropped below freezing point after all, with the tall roof and humid air from the waterfall. It was also rather loud, and every noise echoed badly the further in they walked. This surely was only a temporary stay for everyone visiting. Lille laid down as soon as they had decided the cave was secured. She did not dare to look furter into the cave, with its tunnel leading far into the mountains. Glamr walked towards the entrance, overlooking the river while Skjåk rested near the cave wall. They fell into silence for a while, and Lille felt strangely safe with Glamr keeping an eye on the outside world. She almost fell asleep a couple of times, but the whistling wind woke her up each time. The scent of wet dirt and rock from further down the tunnel gave her a bad feeling and she hoped her intuition was wrong for once.

While Skjåk summed up everything they have found so far, Glamr started wondering if maybe it was time telling Lille what they really were looking for? He gazed at her from over his shoulder, but she seemed to be slumbering and he did not want to waker her up. He had seen how exhausted she had looked when they collected items along the river, and he had a strong feeling it was essential to them all that she had the strength to continue following him and Skjåk, also in the future even if their search ended here once the rain was over. Skjåk walked over to Glamr, looking at him, nodding towards Lille.
''Do you think she still want to come with us?'' Skjåk asked, doubting the mare would be up for another long search. Beside they soon had to go back to the academy, at least Skjåk did, to not make April worry.
''Regardless what she decides, Ill keep an eye on her untull youre able to come back and help me look. I dont think we should let her wander off alone. I have a hunch her necklace is of great importance, maybe even to us. She also looks very troubled, almost in pain...'' Glamr paused and Skjåk rested his eyes on the mare.
Right, something was definetly going on with the green glowing gem she carried around her neck, and she seemed to protect it with her heart and soul.
