I actually have photos of a lot of seagulls from America, will personally show each species to you ^^
I remember there being-
Heermann's Gull (so gorgeous)
California Gull
Western Gull
Glaucous-winged Gull
American Herring Gull
Black-legged Kittiwake
Bonaparte's Gull (no photos of this one though, sorry :/ )
Mew (Common) Gull
And if you count terns
Arctic Tern (no pics :/ )
Caspian Tern (one blurry pic )
I would love to see Little Gull! ^^ Are they common in your area?Β

Woah! America has so many interesting gulls.My fave gull is ring-billed gull ;3; sadly i haven't seen one, those don't live here >;
little gulls ain't very common, about 10 000 pairs are nesting in Finland.

Yep ^^ Some lovely photos~
They really are! And I mean, they look quite similar to Ring-bills, so I guess its that whole 'grass is greener on the other side' thing? Here we have Saunder's Gulls, Black-headed Gulls (red-billed gull in Chinese), Vega (Siberian Herring) Gulls, Heuglin's Gulls, Yellow-legged (Caspain spp., maybe) Gulls, Black-tailed Gulls, Common Gulls, and once in a while, also a rarity, something like a Little Gull, Glaucous Gull, or Slaty-backed Gull (though the third is apparently a rare regular, not a vagrant). Of terns, we have Common, Little, Whiskered, White-winged, Caspian, and one record each of Black-naped and Chinese Crested (the latter one is extremely rare)
Ah okay Yeah, I'm hoping to see one sometime..soon, I suppose ^^
Oh! Yeah, I thought so the first time I saw him. I thought either Swallow tail or Sabine...
Btw, would you mind listing the character's species? Β

Ahaha okay if you say so Personally, I love Red-legged Kittiwakes. They're the stumpiest-looking, adorablest things ever! ^^ And they have lovely eyes. So deep and black and innocent. People who have lied all their lives probably cannot lie to a Red-legged Kittiwake xDΒ
Kinda There are better ones further down the coast, and further up as well. Slaty-back is common up in Japan, and Roseate and Black-naped Tern, as well as Bridled and Great Crested/Chinese Crested are common further south.Β
Oh cool! And I had always thought Acer looked like one of those...not really a well-known gull species, so couldn't put my finger on it for a while

Excellent! The best action shot I've seen of a Gull so far! The bird looks very focused on flying which painted a nice look on his face. He looks so beautiful against the wavy, blue background. I love how you captured him with his tail feathers so prettily spread. The light shining through them makes him seem delicate and graceful. His markings came out very well, too. Those pale spots on his flight feathers came out beautifully. Great shot!

Thanks! This is one of the better ones I got at the lake. The birds were certainly very cooperative and also quite lovely-looking.Β
Thanks! ^^

You're quite welcome.
It's a gorgeous shot, you should be proud. Isn't it nice to have cooperative birds? Yeah, the markings on all the gulls seem to be getting smooth and well-defined. I guess it's a universal thing.

It is! It's great to have actually cooperative birds Definitely- gulls look so sleek and elegant during breeding season. During non-breeding, however, they look kinda tatty... o.o

Thank you! ^^ These birds were amazingly cooperative, swooping around and floating calmly at close distance.Β

Yeah, I thought so too All the black-headed gull species are quite handsome birds in breeding plumage.Β
