The big gelding sighed as Joe swung into the saddle. With a loud thump Joe touched down and adjusted his stirrups. The two girls with him winced at his awkward landing.
Oh good, they thought, this should go great.
Joe straightened himself out and with out missing a beat winked at a passing female and continued to the warm up ring. It was going to be a fun day.
Joe had bought Mocha Latte from WFEC a few months ago and was taking lessons there in order to get girls. He had no prior horse experience, he didn't even try really hard to be good at riding. He just wanted to look good at riding.
The WFEC team brought their students to a local schooling show to give them some out of the practice arena pressure and environment. It was good for them to also see the other students at different levels and support each other.
Except for Joe- the team had a hard time supporting Joe.
At least he paid on time.
The pair was called into the ring. The girls had reminded him before the class to look where he wanted the horse to go. Not at whoever he wanted to be looking at him in the crowd. He shook his head. Ladies, I've got this.
They sighed almost as loud as Mocha did when Joe's butt sat on him. All they could do was watch. And if somehow Joe did win his class- he'd be unbearable to bring back to the training arena.
Kate almost asked out loud why they let him come.

Angela watched him move in time with the horse. She smirked and looked at Kate.
So....did you ever think about his name and the horse's? We have a Cup of Joe and a Mocha Latte. We just need an espresso and we can open up a coffee shop.
Kate rolled her eyes. Was that funny? She was so annoyed with this man child that she just shrugged and went off to help one of the younger ones get saddled up on Doll Faced. The new Pan Mule was a great nanny mare and the kids loved her. This is what Kate loved about teaching. She helped the child put the bridle on over Doll's long ears and the kid lovingly stroked the mare's nose.

Kids were fun.
You know who isn't?
Joe.

Here's the first intro of the schooling side of WFEC where all the fun is currently happening.
Poor Joe- will he ever impress anyone?

Tried a few new things- let me know what you think! comments/critique welcome! Also Joe does have a helmet just with my poor line drawing skills it was off center and got cut off. Forgive me and his poorly drawn face/body.
