legspan wide I'm not really sure as it spends most of its time in it's burrow. I was going to say you must live in Australia but yep looked at your info and you do. Funnelwebs are pretty dangerous if you let your guard down.

yeh, thats the main reason i stopped trying to get so close to them

Never seen a funnel web in person but we have lots of black widows here. I think the funnel web is probably a little more aggressive.
