Hi everyone!I'm really excited to post this one because i think it's my best digital painting I've done so far. Environments are something i've struggled with for a long time but I think i'm beginning to make big improvements.
I cannot decide whether the mermaid has evil intentions or not so i'm going to leave that up to you to create your own interpretation! the funny thing about this work is that I'm usually able to draw horses well and environments not so well but I feel like the opposite has happened (anatomy is a bit off on the legs :/)

Very nice work! I love the level of realism you were able to capture in this. I think my favourite part is how your picture has this really great tension between the unicorn and the mermaid, like something wonderful or terrible could happen any moment and both are still deciding which way this is going to go. Love it!

I feel like she's going to eat the horse. And I just wanna scream "Get outta here, horse! Don't go near the water!", but I'm not so sure he's gonna listen.
..And somehow.. I also suspect the horse has an ace up his sleeve, like maybe he can't be killed by her..
Or maybe my brain just goes to weird places.
