Description Two artic wolves stand in the snow.

The dark wolf is myself. You can't see his face. You can't see his expression, you don't know what he's thinking and he appears to be dark in nature. This is how I appear to many.

The white wolf could be any one of the many people that have had faith in me. They have been my guardian, and helped me to recognise what I have in myself, to steer me towards my goals.

Perhaps with the white wolf on my side, I may eventually come into the light.

=o This is beautiful!
I only got a chance to look through *spacewolfomega 's guest gallery on getting back from holiday, and this really stuck out. I love love love the way you've done the dark wolf- was it charcoal?

I'm afraid I've never used charcoal before. All I did for the black wolf was use lots of 4B pencil! Thanks very much for your comments.

Wow, really? It looks just like charcoal. Although I only use HB, 2H and 8B pencils at the moment, so I can't judge, but I find that you've got the matt black of charcoal down really well (8B is very shiny black).

I generally use 4H pencils for the initial outline, then go over it and re-evaluate the outlines with a 2H. Lines that stand out then get HB treatment, along with 2B and 4B shading, depending on how dark I need the shading. The darker wolf needed several layers of 4B before I was satisfied that he was dark enough.

I'll have to try that some time, it gives a great effect.

Very cool. I like the analogy behind the picture I'm sure you're right about the white wolf.

Great job hun! I love the sentiment that accompanies it. It is always a great feat to find the right picture to say what you are feeling.
