Be prepared for a long comment! It will hopefully cover all your questions!A drawing of my personal AU where Gwen and Duncan were best friends as kids (before Duncan moved away - only to return four years later for their senior year of high school). This is picture is about 13, hence the physical differences. I had Gwen a tad chubbier because she's a cuter kid that way! Her hair? HAVE YOU SEEN HER MOTHER? Yeah.
Gwen's design is based on the idea that she was much, much more bubbly with her best friend and partner-in-crime, Duncan. After he left, she realized that a lot of girls were only nice to her in attempts to "get with" Duncan, so (with no reason to be nice to the naive, trusting, weird, nerdy Gwen) they all turned to bullying her for a while.
Not impressed with the bullying at all, the "goth" kids stepped in. Gwen became friends with the goth kids, and became the Gwen we all know and love - just a little more angry at Duncan for something he couldn't help!
Duncan is relatively basic - take away the mohawk and the yellow shirt. Ta-da!

WOWWWWW! I GOTTA read that AU! I was kinda confused by the fanart until I read the description. Then I looked at the art once again and it gained a whole new meaning. This is amazing!

I was staring at this picture for a while wondering why Duncan looked so different even after I took note of the different hair style. Then I realized he didn't have any piercings.
