Inspired by Shoomlah's series, shoomlah.deviantart.com/galler… - I claim no originality in the way I've finished it. I did design the outfit though! Think of it as a study of color and lineart. Again, 10000% props to Claire Hummel.

I decided to try Esmerelda (because Shoomlah did Meg recently and I cannot compete with that!).

Bits and pieces:

White is worn when mourning in Romani fashion, so I changed her shirt to a darker grey-blue.
Romani loved color, so woo color!
Romani also converted their income/wealth into jewellery rather than saving in coins or the like.
Women wore their hair down if they were single, and covered in a dilko (headscarf) if married. Seeing as Esmerelda is with Phoebus at the end of the movie I drew her hair half-covered. (Also, it incorporated her headscarf in a more traditional manner!)
Originally, she had the map the court of miracles wrapped around her hand, but it wasn't enough. I also liked the idea of the cloth more (as Frollo has a fit about it). I was going to include both, but then it just seemed cluttered. D:

I tried hard to make it traditional, but there weren't many outfits that weren't covered entirely in cloaks.
