Who knew I was capable of making album art that isn't another parody that involves Kim Possible or Halo?Thing about this piece is that is was supposed another piece that was initially planned to be another watercolor painting for the same class that I painted 'Goodbye, Blue Sky' for, and was due in July of 2010. I finished it, using oils... in May of 2011. What the fuck happened?

Back when I was drawing this out on the canvas, I came across the problem that since typography covers the kids eyes, the only way to express the 'what the hell is going on' expression on his face was through his lips, which I'm not very good at drawing in the first place. When there was that much riding on them, however, it turned out to be the most grief I've gotten from a painting since Mike from that one I did of Powerman 5000. Drawing and erasing, over and over and over and over and OVER AND FUCKING OVER AGAIN!!!! I wanted to hunt this kid and rip his lips off at one point.

Needless to say, it had begun to take me so long after one point that there wasn't even any point to finishing it for the class. So instead, I decided to finish this with my oils and gift it to my youngest brother Joseph as a birthday present. But, being me, and considering that I now had all other college projects to work on, I didn't have it finished by his birthday in December; missed that deadline even worse that I did for 'KP+dA: Follow The Leader.' In fact, you might notice that I the date of completion under my signature is some time in May of 2011. But why did it take me that long to finish? Because it's me.
But wait, you said you finished this in May; it's November. Why did it take you that long to post? Aside from taking that long to get around to getting help from my ACT counselor to take pictures of these last four pieces... Because it's me.
Yeah, but you posted those other three pieces weeks ago. Why...
BECAUSE IT'S FUCKING ME.
At this rate, the world is going to end before I finish the fifth demon.

Dude, tell me about it. Hell, the rock scene in general needs more love, but Sevendust especially could use some more recognition. Lajon is straight up one of the best vocalists that I've ever heard. I've actually described hearing him sing is like boxing a against a super heavyweight wearing velvet gloves; he hits with the force of a train, but you have to resist the urge to thank him after every punch because it's so damn smooth.
