Description
I made this: [link] a while ago having only watched a few episodes of Glee. A lot of people I know are really into it so I decided to give the show another shot. What is this I don't even? I tried and tried to like it but just can't find the appeal in sitting trough 35 minutes of unfunny quibbles only to sit throughout 10 more minutes of songs that originally were't that great, now sung in an even more boring fashion. However, I have learned one valuable thing from watching shows like Glee, High School Musical, and American Idol... If I ever want to make a successful series I know exactly what to call it: "Attractive Young People (That Can Kinda Sing) Sing and Dance and Do Other Stuff Too!"Related content

Tell me about it! My mom told me to watch it because I really like music, but if I wanted to listen to music I'd just find it on the internet or on my iTunes; I don't want to listen to some talentless teenagers going on about drama. Also, I hate their version of 'Hello Goodbye'.

All the girls voices in Glee sound the same, same thing with the boys....
And this recipe is what Disney used to make almost ALL their shows. Like Hannah Montana(*vomit*) Shake it Up(ughhh) and the shows that weren't ORIGINALLY non-musical...but are now...
That's why I like Nickelodeon...it's different...and still has cartoons.

*true story time* I went to a party *already unbeliveable* and everyone was talking about glee, I delt with it for a while, I turned on the tv and switched the channel to BBC because Doctor Who was on *fact doctor who makes me happy....sometimes* but then someone came up to me and was all like what is this crap isn't something good like glee on? changed the channel and everyone gathered around the tv and *shudders* started singing along, I ditched the party, even though one of my freinds threw the party i honestly couldn't sit there and tolorate them anymore, but I got home, turned on my tv and started watching doctor who

I never got the giant 'L' they put on their forehead. Doesn't that... mean 'Loser' in most places? I know the box-art and shit does it to spell out glee, but if you're not constantly surrounded by the rest of the letters, you look like a fucking idiot.

yah it does mean loser. they do that cause the glee kids are supposed to be losers... i guess?

Well, Glee's also taken some songs that were originally great and just butchered them up so horribly. I seriously wanted to cry a few times because of how badly they did the songs :c
I gave it a chance, it killed a couple of good songs, I decided to never watch it again.

I don't even watch it. All because of the mash-up episode (they destroyed 4 songs at the same time D: ) and one other episode which I have blocked from my mind...

I honestly used to watch this show. I still don't mind the first season. I'm a sucker for the under dog type shows and musicals. But now I can't stand to watch the show. Too much stupid character development, shitty popular songs for the sake of being HIP N WITH IT, and tribute episode that don't really add diddly poop to the storyline. Even in what I feel was Glee's hey day the show was never compelling TV, it was just this silly guilty pleasure. But combining all of what's wrong with Glee with how seriously Ryan Murphy takes his show (HE'S DOING IT FOR THE CHILDREEEENNNNNN!) just makes it seem all the more obnoxious.

I noticed the first couple of episodes I saw had like Journey and Grease songs and then I heard there are now like Britney Spears/ Lady Gaga episodes and I lol'd. Seems like such a crazy shift.

It's the whitest show in the known history of white people shows.

Really? The only clues of it's existence I ever seen was it's Blip.tv commercials, somebody mentioning that Cee Lo Green used it to get popular, somebody mentioning that it made a Safety Dance thing, and a parody of it on MAD. Never seen an episode and I don't know anyone, in person, that's watched more than 1 episode.
You sure that you can't get away from it?
In a way, this reminds me of Jersey Shore. I've never seen it and the only way I even know that it exists are the people complaining about it.

My life is by no means a swirling vortex of endless, inescapable Glee. That would be crazy It all depends on the people in your life and the TV channels you watch. If you don't watch fox you won't see adds and if your friends don't care about Glee than you won't hear a word about it. A few of my friends like it so I hear about it every so often. They own some Glee CDs, there is the occasional status update about Glee, and get-togethers at my BF's house to watch new episodes. Other than that I really only hear about it from my roommates who have like a Glee poster and like to giggle about the recent events. Apparently I overheard a spoiler as they giggled about Kurt kissing a girl. The popularity is definitely dying down though. Oh btw my roommates also watch Jersey Shore/Everything on MTV ever lol.

I rather my friends have a status update about some show then the usual, "deep" lyrics taken from Beyonce and posted in f0ne 5p3ak.
Why do your friends give that horrifying show views!
Please do not do what others have done, and shape your views towards Jerseyans based on what those retarded New Yorkers do on Miami/whateverotherplacebutJersey Beach. The poor, consonant-loving, numerous New Jersey-ers don't deserve that.

DablurArt In reply to ms-ok [2011-04-29 06:22:49 +0000 UTC]
AAhh yes the classic lyrical status update. And then everyone else has to comment the rest of the lyrics from whatever song... at least that's how it goes for me.
As far as my roommates I didn't choose to live with them I was assigned as room and sadly we have little in common besides our place of residence (i'm moving out in a week though
) And lol yah I heard the Jersey Shore cast is like from New York or something (makes no sense)? lol either way, wherever they're from, I refuse to believe there is any place where most people act like that. My opinion of New Jersey, New York, Miami, and everywhere else remains unattained by crazy reality shows.

Nah, what I'm talking about is much more annoying. They post these stupid sounding lyrics and everyone is suppose to compliment them on how "deep" they are.
Thank the gods! SOMEBODY has common sense!

DablurArt In reply to ms-ok [2011-04-29 06:51:35 +0000 UTC]
nothing on Facebook can be deep :C
If it's not about a sandwich you are making it doesn't belong as a status update.

If it only that were true. I deleted my FB page because I couldn't stand reading my family's posts. Every time I go on to see what everyone's up to, I see so much stupid disguised as deep it hurts. It hurts so bad.

Can relate to the "so bad it's good" thing... definitely a driving force when watching some movies instantly on Netflix. Except I go with really, really just god awful... like Sci-Fi channel original movie bad [link]
... and sometimes end up liking them
