It's like Godzilla: The Animated Series. Newton and Gottlieb go around the world studying Kaiju still lose on Earth and either help stop them or capture them. All the while, they meet different pilots and Jaegers from around the world and have to race against Hannibal Chau's harvesting teams.

Charlie (er, Newt) may be the funniest character, but Hannibal Chau was probably my favorite. Maybe it's the fashion sense, or maybe because it's Ron freakin Perlman and he's always awesome.
